Scholarships

We like to say that we have never turned away anyone who has wanted to take an art class at the Dunedin Fine Art Center. In an effort to give every individual an equal opportunity to take an art class, we are proud to provide scholarships for both youths and adults.

The Circle of Caring Scholarship Fund for Youths and Adults

Established in the fall of 2008, the Circle of Caring Scholarship Fund is funded entirely by donations from individuals and community organizations who believe in the importance of art and who want to share this belief with others.

Our scholarship awards fund one six-week class per individual. These scholarships are intended to help children, teens and adults who cannot otherwise afford to take a class at the Dunedin Fine Art Center. Our scholarships cover the cost of one regular class or workshop as well as any associated materials fees. Awards are limited to one class per session. Applications must be submitted two weeks prior to start of desired session.

If you receive a scholarship, we will respect your privacy and will not release your name, although we may contact you to ask if you would like to share your experience with others. Scholarship recipients will be required to complete a brief survey at the end of the class session to provide constructive feedback so the Dunedin Fine Art Center can continue to improve on our scholarship practices.

Scholarship Applications

We try and make completing an application for our scholarships as easy possible. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, simply download the attached PDF here for children and teens or here for adults. Fill out the necessary personal information and provide an attached statement about why you need a scholarship from the Dunedin Fine Art Center. Return your application and statement of need to the Dunedin Fine Art Center at 1143 Michigan Boulevard, Dunedin FL 34698, with Attention to Registrar.

PLEASE NOTE: Links Below are for Regular Session Classes.

The David Scales Veterans and Family Fund (DSVFF) is available to all active duty, reservists, retirees, veterans, and their immediate family members of the armed forces. Scholarships are offered in all classes and workshops and the cost varies upon the class chosen. When DFAC makes a DSVFF award, we grant full tuition as well as a materials stipend.
Eligibility:
The award is available to military veterans of the United States Armed Forces and to their immediate family members (spouses, dependents, parents) residing within the Tampa Bay Area.
