Dick and Sandy Kennedy’s Donor Story
THE HUSBAND AND WIFE DUO, Dick and Sandy Kennedy, have supported the Dunedin Fine Art Center through classes, volunteering and donations (just to name a few) since becoming members a few years back.
When the couple moved to Florida part-time, Sandy soon found the Dunedin Fine Art Center and became a frequent visitor. “I was naturally drawn to [the Dunedin Fine Art Center],” Sandy said. “I’ve always been interested in art and creativity, so it’s been a wonderful place to come to and watch grow—and to help grow.”
Sandy, who loves free-use fabrics, can usually be found crafting quilts, wall hangings, pillows, table runners and bags. Since becoming a member, she has participated in multiple classes and mediums and love the “eclectic environment” the Dunedin Fine Art Center offers for everyone.
Besides Sandy’s involvement in classes, the Kennedy’s have supported the Dunedin Fine Art Center through leadership roles and generous donations. Dick is new to the Board of Directors and the couple recently received the naming opportunity to the Palm Cafe through their Capital Campaign contribution.
For the Kennedys, contributing to the growth of the Dunedin Fine Art Center is so important.
“The Dunedin Fine Art Center is a terrific organization and I think it’s worthy of everyone’s efforts because this is an organization that is trying to provide a huge benefit to the community and beyond the community,” Dick said. “And I really think it’s doing it.”
Donations make it possible for the Dunedin Fine Art Center to offer inspiring exhibits, high quality education and fun events. Your donation helps make the Dunedin Fine Art Center a better place, for everyone. To learn more about becoming a donor, visit dfac.org/become-a-donor.
