Create your own medium to large heron, egret, flamingo or other bird in paper mâché. We’ll start with a base of recycled materials and finish with paper, feathers, leather, wire and more. Fashion a fabulous headdress or a long, elegant beak. Accent it with fabric, paper, jewels or found items. Make this feathered friend your own!

4 Week Workshop
Time: 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Workshop Dates:
4 Mondays: October 6, 13, 20, and 27

Design a dog, fashion a feline or any four legged friend and “bring it to life” with paper mache. Students will use a variety of recyclable materials including plastic bottles, cardboard and newspaper to create an animal’s body shape, then add layers of paper mache, embellishments and paint to create their very own “Art-Official Pet”. During the process, we’ll explore a variety of techniques, textures and recipes in paper mâché. Materials fee covers all needed supplies. This workshop meets for 4 Mondays. Ages 17 and up.
