In this workshop, you will learn how to apply a silkscreen design to canvas. Your painting will be further embellished with paint, ink and other materials. The silkscreen you create in this class can then be used on your own to screen other materials such as tote bags, t-shirts, and note cards.
A $30 Material Fee to be paid directly to instructor for silkscreen materials, ink, and brushes.
DemiGod (real name Demeree Barth) is a contemporary,
mixed media artist based in Largo, Florida, exhibiting widely throughout
Florida. With a degree in Photography and Art History, she enjoys the tactile
possibilities of her current mediums of choice, found object sculpture,
painting and printmaking. As of late, she has been exploring the possibilities
of joining found objects to produce small sculptures. As an elementary school
art teacher, traveler and lifelong learner, she has built up her own artistic
personal vision and is inspired by the folk art of other cultures, mainly from
Native America and Mexico.
