Figure Drawing Supplies
• 2 each of 2B, 4B, and 6B General’s charcoal pencils
• General’s white charcoal pencil
• 6B General’s compressed charcoal stick or black pastel
• Blending tool such as goat/hog hair brush, blending stump, or makeup sponge
• 18” x 24” newsprint pad with 50 or more sheets
• Kneaded eraser
• Pink Pearl eraser
• 19” x 25” sheet of Canson Mi-Teintes in flannel gray, sand, or other dull midtone
• Roll of artist tape
• Utility blade (for sharpening)
• Sandpaper block (for sharpening)
• 18” x 24” drawing board (optional)
Model Fee: $60
In this class, students will learn how to draw portraits from life. There will be a variety of short exercises as well as long-pose drawings of live models. Students will learn about proportions, value, and facial anatomy.
