The Dunedin Fine Art Center’s (DFAC’s) 41st Annual Garden Party Celebrates The Still Brothers!
So many organizations have come to use the arts and artists as centerpieces for major fundraising events. All you need is a location, some artwork, and PRESTO, you have yourself an event. In the Tampa Bay area, one organization has been doing this type of event long enough (this is their 41st year!), and is tied to the arts closely enough (they ARE an art center after all!) to claim ownership of the idea and put on what Tampa Bay Magazine calls the “Best Social Event in the Tampa Bay area.”
The Dunedin Fine Art Center’s 2021 Garden Party which is presented by DFAC’s board of directors will celebrate the long association and many contributions brothers Christopher and Todd Still have made to both DFAC and the wider community. With the theme of Still the One, we have to agree with Tampa Bay Magazine, this is one event you need to attend. The party (for which there are only VIRTUAL tickets available) will feature LIVE music, Art & Non-Art Silent and LIVE Auctions, and other festivities So, mark 7:00 pm till 8:30 pm –June 27th on your calendar and make your reservation today.
“After last year, being entirely virtual, we’re SO excited to be having even the small -in-person component that we are this year,” said Steve Beaty, co-chair of this year’s event along with his wife Marie. “The demand quickly outstripped the supply, but we know that all of those folks who join us virtually will have a great time too AND help support the great educational programs at DFAC!”
“Yes, it’s a great party, but more important, is the actual effect that the proceeds from our Garden Party have on the vitality and diversity of Dunedin Fine Art Center” insists DFAC Board Chairperson, Julie Scales. “Art changes lives and this is most evident at DFAC. We can talk about the economics of the arts and the sense of place, all of which are really important, but most of all: the children, teens and adults who take class at DFAC, view and learn from the exhibits, and share friendships are the ones who benefit from this great community resource” she concludes.
Virtual Tickets are the only ones available at only $15 each. Or pick up the pARTy Pack at $50 for four tickets on DFAC’s website at www.dfac.org! Call 727.298.DFAC for more information.
