The SEVENTENTH Year for wearable ART Promises a Steamy end to Summer!
It’s hard to believe that it was SIXTEEN years ago that The Dunedin Fine Art Center’s (DFAC) incredibly successful wearable ART fashion show made its debut before its first SOLD-OUT crowd. Now in its 17th year, this always surprising event promises to continue to be the standard against which all other art/fashion shows are measured. If you have ever attended this steamy and exhilarating show, you know that ANYTHING can happen.
The designers for DFAC’s wearable ART 17 have been chosen! This year welcomes some returning wearable ART legends as well as dynamic designers virgin to the WA runway . . .
Wearable Art audiences will recognize epic creators: Mark Byrne of balloon fashion brilliance, the Bay to Bay Collective (formerly/aka the Garden Fairies)—say no more—and Olga Saretsky + Kikimora Studio of Miami—where surrealistic theatre meets Las Vegas, Baby!
Beloved designers returning after 1,2,3 or more years of hiatus include Artist and Now, Mama, Johnny Hunt from Interlochen, Michigan, Tampa Bay’s Designing Woman—WA Goddess Legend, Melissa Dolce and Jeanne Halle aka Kina Kouture + Dana Rizzuto whose past WA productions have set the runway ablaze…
For WA17’s runway pleasure, Julian Hartzog has retrieved his award-winning galactic designs, until recently displayed in New Zealand’s World of Wearable Art, WOW.
And we are delighted to announce the addition of fresh new designers, Amy Wolf and Kelli-Lynn Luckey, whose visions are sure to thrill.
Great music has always been a hallmark of ALL DFAC events. This year’s wearable ART will be no exception. Both the the Pre-Glow and After-Glow parties will feature LIVE Music. Tickets are available for every budget!
This year, those prized seats go for $65, $105 or $125, and are on sale now. If past years are any indication, you’ll want to score your tickets early, while they’re still available.
Back by popular demand is the PARTY TICKET for $20 this year. Enjoy the pre and post parties with this indoor standing-room option…. enjoy all the music and fun and catch the runway show on a HUGE video monitor… Now, you have NO excuse for missing the art party of the year!
