Teach a Class

The Dunedin Fine Art Center invites course proposals from experienced and qualified teaching artists. Instructors must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience in a classroom or studio setting. While a college degree in studio art or fine art, with a focus on the medium you wish to teach, is strongly preferred, a proven track record of expertise and passion is essential.

New Class or Workshop Proposal

Dunedin Fine Art Center welcomes new course proposals from qualified teaching artists. We require that our instructors have at least 3 years of teaching experience in a classroom or studio setting. We strongly prefer that our instructors have a college degree in studio art or fine art, with a concentration in the medium they wish to teach.

Classes: Classes are six-weeks, meeting once a week for 3 hours (some classes may meet for 2 hours). Morning classes are scheduled from 9am-12pm, afternoon classes are 1pm-4pm, and evening classes start at 6pm or 6:30pm. There is a standard pay rate for instructors teaching six-week classes. This will be discussed with the Education Director upon acceptance of the course proposal.

Workshops: Workshops will meet for one, two, three, four or five days. Workshop meetings can be consecutive days or weekly. Hours of the workshop will be determined by the instructor. Workshop payments vary and will be based on the artists requested compensation. The payment will be negotiated with the Education Director.
