Robert Sutherland

Robert Sutherland is a fine artist whose expertise includes oils, casein, pastels, oil pastels, watercolor, pencil, and pen and ink. He received his degree in Art Education at Oklahoma State University, and began as a commercial art illustrator with Creative Associates in Oklahoma City. Robert spent a number of years in Nashville, Tennessee where he was actively involved in both the art world and the music industry as a recording artist. His paintings have been shown in Tennessee State Museums, the Dixon Gallery in Memphis, and are also included in the collections of many notable Nashville celebrities. Robert’s artistic journey has developed a new technique he calls “Spinning.” From the spinning classes has emerged a new group, Spin-Arte, comprised of artists who are showing their work at major galleries and shows.
