Gail Thayer grew up in Pennsylvania, has a degree in Math, spent 30 years in government management for the state of Maine, and was a glass bead maker for more than 20 years. After moving to Florida, she started taking silversmithing classes in 2011 and has been hooked on metal working, cabochons and faceted stones ever since. Gail is the elected President of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths, working to promote the art of metalsmithing and provide educational and exchange opportunities for those interested in these arts.
