Give the gift of ART this holiday season, more than any other! Choose from a brilliant array of hand-selected works, presented in a festive holiday setting. DFAC’s annual invitational of fine art, craft + design offers a mix of gallery elegance with a marketplace of cool, affordable artist-made goods.
DFAC reconfigures itself November 9th, 2020 in its holiday finest… albeit with a decidedly artistic flair. The centerpiece is undoubtedly the invitational exhibition, this year appropriately entitled Might Fine! On a yearly basis, DFAC curators look to put together the best art, with a gift-giving perspective in mind. The result is a collection of works from around the region that any of your friends or relatives would be DELIGHTED to find under their tree. Amidst works by DFAC’s favorite faculty artists, you can see new creations by Caitlin Albritton, Elizabeth Barenis, Kimberli Burns Cummings, Kimberly Engel, Shanna Fliegel, Denis Gaston, Mike Gesiakowski, Annette Gloomis, Jeff Nabors, Emilie Pritchard, Jan Richardson and Adam Shrewsbury.
Tradition has it, for Holiday Show and Sale exhibit only, that purchases can go home with you. See a painting you want… take it off the wall. Like those hand-made ornaments on that tree, grab them and take them to a cashier! DFAC’s holiday exhibit traditionally opens the first full weekend in November, the same weekend as Art Harvest, the long-standing art fair hosted adjacent to the Dunedin Fine Art Center by the Junior League of Dunedin/Clearwater. While Art Harvest is NOT happening this year, DFAC will open its Holiday show and sale on Monday, November 9th, making for a joyous kick-off of the holiday season!
