Call for Artists: Face Value

The Dunedin Fine Art Center invites artists to submit work for Face Value, an exhibition exploring the power, complexity, and symbolism of the human face. From classical portraiture to abstraction, social commentary to personal identity, we welcome your interpretation of “Face Value” in all its meanings, metaphorical and literal.
Guest Judged by Curator of Exhibitions at the Morean Art Center Amanda Cooper, cash prizes will be awarded: Best of Show – $500, 1st Place – $300, 2nd Place – $200, and 3rd Place – $100.
Amanda Cooper – Guest Judge
A fifth-generation Floridian and native of St. Petersburg, Amanda Cooper received a BA in Art History from the University of Florida in 1997. Since 1999, she has worked as Curator of Exhibitions (now Chief Curator) at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, organizing over 400 exhibitions, including works in all media by students, established and emerging artists and children. She has also served as juror for various art exhibitions including Dunedin Art Harvest, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards exhibition, Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, FolkFest St. Pete, Melbourne Arts Festival, ArtFest Fort Myers, Ocala Arts Festival, Tarpon Springs Festival of the Arts and the Pinellas Association of Visual Artists Cool Art Show. She has served on art panels for Pinellas County and the State of Florida, awarding several public art projects and individual artist grants, and has been a member of the steering committee for the SHINE Mural Festival since 2015. She lives in St. Pete with her husband, three children, and two cats, Barbara and Norman.

Eligibility
Open to artists working in any medium.
Media Accepted
We’re accepting work in all 2D and 3D media including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, digital art, and sculpture.
Artwork must be ready to hang or install upon delivery to the art center. For example, 2D must be wired or have a similar hanging mechanism already installed. Artwork that is not ready to install upon delivery can not be accepted. Artists with unusual installation requirements should contact DFAC in advance.
Please include your name, artwork title, artwork medium, and price/value with your artwork upon delivery.
Size Restrictions: 2D artwork should not be larger than 168 inches total when adding all sides. 3D work should fit on a pedestal or floor area no larger than 30 inches x 30 inches (with no restrictions on height.
Sales & Insurance
Work may be made available for sale. The Dunedin Fine Art Center retains a 40% commission on sales (60% going to the artist). Artwork will be insured while on DFAC property for up to 60% of its value.
Entry Guidelines
- Artists may submit one work per entry; there is a limit four (4) entries per artist.
- Submission fee:
- $20 per entry for Members and $25 per entry for Non-Members
- No entry is guaranteed to be included in the exhibition. Pieces are accepted based upon quality and space available.
- All entry fees are non-refundable.
- Online entry form must be filled out. You will be notified by email of your entry’s acceptance.
- Entry form will require your name, contact information, artwork information, and at least one photo of your art.

Notification of acceptance: December 26, 2025
Exhibition opening reception: January 16, 2026 from 6pm to 9pm
