Studio Gossip: Raheem Fitzgerald & Charity Grace

Studio Gossip July 30th

Where Art Meets Happy Hour at House of Beer

Grab a beer and pull up a chair for Studio Gossip, a new monthly series hosted by DFAC’s Curator Danny Olda at House of Beer in Dunedin (927 Broadway, Dunedin, FL 34698).

Each month, Danny sits down with a featured artist(s) for an evening of candid conversation, behind-the-scenes stories, audience participation, and a few surprises. It’s part artist talk, part game show, part podcast—and anything but your typical gallery lecture.

This Month’s Featured Artsits

Raheem Fitzgerald
Raheem is an American artist and painter, reenvisioning traditional subjects and reshaping the canvas of painting with his vision.

Charity Grace
Charity is one of this year’s six featured designers for wearable ART 20: Platinum, known for her whimsical handmade costumes, boundless creativity, and athletic artistry.

What to Expect

Every Studio Gossip follows the same loose format, but no two conversations are alike. Expect plenty of laughs, honest stories, audience participation, and a chance to see a side of the artist that rarely makes it into an exhibition.

What’s On Tap?
Arrive early at House of Beer in Dunedin, grab a drink, mingle with fellow art lovers, and settle in before the conversation begins.

Studio Stories
Forget the formal artist talk. Danny gets the conversation started with fun, unexpected questions that reveal the person behind the artwork—from the worst critique they’ve ever received to what they’re obsessed with right now, what’s hanging on their walls at home, and what people most often misunderstand about their work.

Secret Show & Tell
The artist shares something rarely seen from their studio—an abandoned painting, an early sketchbook, the first artwork they ever sold, or another personal artifact that helped shape their journey.

Ask Me Anonymously
Write down your questions throughout the evening and drop them in anonymously. Danny will pull questions from the audience for an honest, unscripted conversation.

Lightning Round
Red Flag or Green Flag? Keep or Cut? Overrated or Underrated? Quick-fire questions. Quick-fire answers.

Post-Event Hangout
Stick around for another drink, meet the artist, and continue the conversation.
