The workshop begins with a brief introduction to the essential tools of Sumi-e: the brush, ink and special rice paper. Under careful guidance, you’ll practice basic brushstrokes that form the foundation of Sumi-e painting.

Supply List: A $20 fee is paid directly to the instructor to cover cost of Sumi Ink, Japanese brush & some paper which the student keeps.
