W-CG205 Introduction to Pointed Pen Calligraphy With Margot Griffin

In this 3-hour workshop, students will learn the difference between traditional broad edge and modern pointed pen calligraphy. Participants will use a range of pressure sensitive writing implements and learn the basic foundational strokes used in such hands as Copperplate, Spencerian, and modern brush lettering. We will cover the preparation, use, and care of both straight and oblique dip pens, nibs, and other necessary tools. No experience, training, or artistic skills required.

All supplies will be provided. Ages 17 and up.
