Decoding the Mona Lisa
For all of you who’ve wondered how the Mona Lisa portrait became the world’s most famous artwork… Dee’s talk tells the incredible story behind the creation of the painting and how its far-reaching innovations reflect Leonardo’s unique genius. You’ll also learn about the bizarre circumstances that led to the painting’s unparalleled rise to fame. It’s a fascinating, fun, and informative story full of surprises. “With a few new twists,” this is a repeat performance at member’s requests of Dee’s “decoding the Mona Lisa” talk at DFAC in 2024.
Explore the remarkable, the mysterious, and the weirdly wonderful in art with Dee Kilgo, Ph.D. art historian. Dee’s knowledge and lively style make art history fun, accessible, and intriguing.
Seating is Limited. All proceeds go to support the educational programs at DFAC.
