PT583 Creative Techniques in Watercolor With Kerry Stratton Waltz

This class will focus on using experimental techniques to create special effects in watercolor. We will focus on color theory, strong composition, value control and unique techniques to create strong paintings. We will be using a variety of watermedia materials such as; gouache, acrylic, gesso and water-soluble inks, pencils and crayons. No experience is needed but must have a desire to experiment.

Watercolor paper- 140 lb. cold press Arches or fabriano artistico
Watercolor paint- grumbacher academy or cottman student grade or any brand of professional paint Alizarin crimson, cadmium red light cadmium yellow light, cadmium yellow medium ultramarine blue prussian blue burnt sienna paynes gray. Any other colors you like.
Any other watermedia listed that you have or would like to use
Instructor will supply some additional materials for each lesson
