PR201 Experimental Printmaking with Dawn Daisley
February 23 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
All levels welcome!
A relaxed, beginner-friendly course. An inviting introduction to printmaking for anyone curious about exploring new materials and creative processes. No prior printmaking experience is required. We’ll work at a comfortable pace with guided demonstrations and plenty of time for experimentation in a supportive studio environment.
Participants will explore a variety of traditional and nontraditional printmaking techniques, which may include simple relief linocuts, collagraphs, plaster prints, monoprints, oil- and water-based monotypes, and Caran d’Ache monoprints. Artists are encouraged to play, mix techniques, and personalize their work by incorporating collage, watercolor, and chine-collé with a range of papers. Printing processes will be guided by the materials used, allowing for flexibility, discovery, and individual creative expression.
