After a pandemic inspired hiatus for extensive renovation, the Palm Cafe at the Dunedin Fine Art Center (DFAC) has re-opened with a new chef/owner who is anything but new to the area food scene.
Award-wining Chef Robert Masson brings over 30 years of restaurant experience to bear on a made-from-scratch menu that will please your taste buds for either breakfast or lunch. From his earliest days as the youngest Executive Chef for Club Operations & Property Management at St. Pete’s Presidents Club, to his top awards and ratings at Tampa’s 717South, Chef Robert has brought his own personal style along with him. His choice to have house-made be the standard for his dressings, sausages, bacon, and other ingredients certainly places him on a new level for the Palm Cafe.
“You have to taste his unique flavors to appreciate what he is actually doing here,” said Ken Hannon, DFAC’s Vide-President and COO. “Whether its his Roasted Root Vegetable Salad, with his own Cider Vinaigrette, or the special Homemade Lasagna, with his homemade sausage that was on the menu this week, everything is just spot on! Don’t even get me started about his desserts that are all made in-house too! ”
As with any new restaurant venture, the proof as they say is “in the pudding.” Or as the case it might be the dessert case. Either way, it’s about fresh ingredients combined in tasty fashion, by a Chef who is excited to be sharing his vision. That’s a classic win-win! Visit soon, to see what we are talking about.
Current hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. Reservations are not accepted.
