Featured Exhibitions
All exhibitions run January 16 – February 22, 2026.
Low Tide / High Root: APIDA Diasporic Perspectives
This group exhibition brings together seven Tampa Bay artists of Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) backgrounds. Spanning traditional forms, contemporary media, and emerging technologies, the exhibition explores cultural hybridity, memory, and identity shaped by life in Florida. Together, the artists present a layered portrait of diasporic experience—rooted in heritage, shaped by place, and continually evolving.
Tatiana Mesa Paján: MÍO/MINE
In this poetic and process-driven solo exhibition, Mesa Paján reflects on diaspora, impermanence, and the meaning we assign to objects we carry with us. Using found materials, borrowed objects, and slow acts of transformation, MÍO/MINE examines ownership as a temporary relationship shaped by memory, movement, and care. Ultimately, MÍO/MINE invites visitors to reflect on a quiet but persistent question: what is truly ours?
Latonya Hicks: When the Lights Came On: Shared Memories and the Things We Keep
Featuring circular mixed-media assemblages, Hicks draws on objects from the 1980s and 90s to explore nostalgia, family history, and shared cultural memory. Her work transforms everyday keepsakes into intimate archives, honoring legacy, connection, and the quiet power of objects that carry personal and collective stories.
Brooke Allison: Life Capturing Lessons
This solo exhibition highlights the luminous still lifes and figurative work of Brooke Allison, one of Florida’s most respected painters. Known for her masterful use of color and form, Allison’s work reflects a lifelong commitment to painting from life. The exhibition also celebrates her lasting impact as a beloved DFAC instructor who has inspired generations of artists.
Face Value
A juried exhibition exploring the power and symbolism of the human face, Face Value features works ranging from classical portraiture to abstraction and social commentary. Artists interpret the theme both literally and metaphorically, examining identity, perception, and expression. The exhibition is guest judged by Amanda Cooper, Chief Curator at the Morean Arts Center.
