Celebrate the opening of DFAC’s Fall 2026 exhibitions with an evening of art, conversation, and community.
The evening will feature an Artist Talk from 6:30–7:30 p.m., where visitors can hear more about the exhibitions and the artists’ creative processes. The talk will be followed by the presentation of awards for the Legacy juried exhibition.
Five new exhibitions open this fall, bringing together artists working across painting, photography, sculpture, installation, video, and fiber arts. Together, the exhibitions explore themes of change, memory, identity, tradition, and legacy.
The Fall Exhibits
The Only Lasting Truth
Featuring Katina Bitsicas, Deon Blackwell, Samo Davis & Petra Gurin, Kristin Roles, John Steck Jr., and Eszter Sziksz, this exhibition explores change and impermanence through artworks that transform, deteriorate, and ultimately disappear.
Intimate Monument
Katina Bitsicas, Desiree Moore, Kristin Roles, John Steck Jr., and Eszter Sziksz explore grief, memory, and remembrance through photography, installation, video, and sculpture.
The Tender Weight
Featuring Tampa Bay-area artists Jay Coachman, Raheem Fitzgerald, iBOMS, Dallas Jackson, Zulu Painter, and Marlon Tobias, this exhibition explores family, spirituality, masculinity, joy, grief, and memory through painting.
Guiding Stars: Quilter’s Crossing 2026 Quilt Challenge
Inspired by the 250th anniversary of the United States, this annual quilt challenge invites artists to reflect on inspiration, direction, and the people and forces that guide us forward.
Legacy
This juried exhibition asks artists to consider what we leave behind and what we inherit, exploring memory, family, culture, and influence. The exhibition is guest judged by Deon Blackwell, artist and DFAC Adult Education Director.
