Celebrate the opening of the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s summer exhibitions—an evening of art, conversation, and community featuring five dynamic exhibitions exploring perception, materiality, identity, and the future. Meet featured artists and experience an Artist Talk with exhibiting artists from 6:30–7:30 PM, followed by awards for our juried exhibition, Futurology.

All exhibitions will remain on view through August 16, 2026, with Pressing On: Printmaking at the Dunedin Fine Art Center on display through August 23.

underseers: Jason Lazarus

Jason Lazarus explores new ways of seeing and recording everyday life through sculpture, concrete photography, and object-based archives. By withholding traditional imagery, the exhibition invites viewers into a more intimate and reflective experience of perception.

Materiality: Jim Gigurtsis and Mike Cannata

This exhibition pairs Gigurtsis’ emotionally charged oil paintings with Cannata’s expressive ceramic works, highlighting the physical beauty and presence of their materials while blurring the line between abstraction and representation.

Futurology

Guest judged by John Byrd, this juried exhibition features artists imagining what lies ahead—from hopeful futures to dystopian possibilities. Awards will be presented during the reception following the Artist Talk.

Out of Many, Still Many

Created in honor of America’s Semiquincentennial, this exhibition features regional figurative painters celebrating the richness of diverse cultures, identities, and everyday moments that shape the American experience.

Pressing On: Printmaking at DFAC

A celebration of DFAC’s thriving printmaking community, this exhibition brings together students, faculty, alumni, and instructors to showcase the experimentation, craftsmanship, and collaboration at the heart of the print studio.

Join us for this exciting summer kickoff and experience the power of contemporary art at DFAC.
