In this class, students will learn how to draw the nude figure from life. Students will do gestures and longer drawings of live models. This class is best suited for students who already have a solid foundation in drawing and are looking to learn drawing strategies specific to figure drawing. It is recommended that students take Zoe’s Drawing Atelier class prior to figure drawing.
Figure Drawing Supplies
• 2 each of 2B, 4B, and 6B General’s charcoal pencils
• General’s white charcoal pencil
• 6B General’s compressed charcoal stick or black pastel
• Blending tool such as goat/hog hair brush, blending stump, or makeup sponge
• 18” x 24” newsprint pad with 50 or more sheets
• Kneaded eraser
• Pink Pearl eraser
• 19” x 25” sheet of Canson Mi-Teintes in flannel gray, sand, or other dull midtone
• Roll of artist tape
• Utility blade (for sharpening)
• Sandpaper block (for sharpening)
• 18” x 24” drawing board (optional)
