FREE Coffee and Conversation with Ann Feldshue at the Dunedin Fine Art Center.
Hanging out, drinking delicious coffee, talking about art… ahhhh, that’s the life! Well, that IS the life at least for an hour or so each month at the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s Coffee and Conversation series. Enjoy FREE coffee (Presented by the Sterling Society of DFAC) and FREE insights as each month’s invited guest holds forth on their own area of expertise.
Thursday, May 14th at 12 noon, the series hosts artist Ann Feldshue. Her presentation will be of great interest to ALL artists, as she addresses using perspective and trompe l’oeil to create works that have drama and depth. Ann will talk about one and two-point perspective, while explaining other elements involved of perspective, including highlights & shadows, chiaroscuro and distance.
Ann Byal Feldshue graduated with a BFA in drawing/painting from The Ohio State University. She then embarked on a 30 year career in retailing as a department store buyer and merchandiser for Polo/Ralph Lauren, travelling extensively in the US and in Europe. After tiring of the travel requirements, Ann returned to her roots as an artist creating murals in residential and office environments. She also sold furniture painted with landscapes and trompe l’oeil finishes.
Ann has been assisting the curator at DFAC for over 10 years as a volunteer and now staff. She helps with exhibit selection and installation. She has also taught trompe l’oeil and perspective painting
