FREE Coffee and Conversation with Anita Wood at the Dunedin Fine Art Center.
Hanging out, drinking delicious coffee, talking about art… ahhhh, that’s the life! Well, that IS the life at least for an hour or so each month at the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s Coffee and Conversation series. Enjoy FREE coffee (Presented by the Sterling Society of DFAC) and FREE insights as each month’s invited guest holds forth on their own area of expertise.
Thursday, March 12th at 12 noon,the series hosts artist Anita Wood. Anita will be giving a presentation called: “The Mystery of the Mediums – Acrylics that Is!” She’ll be talking about texture mediums (molding pastes, pumice gels, soft gels , gesso and more…) She’ll finish with the paints themselves, in this case Specialty Acrylic Polymers.
Anita says: Art has always been in my life and as my husband nicely stated – in our lives Art comes First and then comes Life! Very True!
I started with several mediums, decided that I needed to be focused and for several years was truly a “Transparent Watercolor Artist”
Throughout my journey my art and my heart have grown and now I find the beauty in Acrylics and Mixed Media along with my love of traditional Transparent Watercolors.
Teaching is a big part of my art and I enjoy the challenges of workshops and weekly classes. I have been blessed to be able to teach both in Florida and Southern Ontario.
I have been honored to have my paintings accepted into the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolors and to have won many Best of Show awards in various Art Societies.
Art is Good for My Soul and I love my Artful Journey!
