FREE Coffee and Conversation with Alison Shepard at the Dunedin Fine Art Center.
Hanging out, drinking delicious coffee, talking about art… ahhhh, that’s the life! Well, that IS the life at least for an hour or so each month at the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s Coffee and Conversation series. Enjoy FREE coffee (Presented by the Sterling Society of DFAC) and FREE insights as each month’s invited guest holds forth on their own area of expertise.
Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 12 noon, the series hosts potter Alison Shepard. Alison will share not only her artistic history and some thoughts about clay techniques, she will also take us into her own personal world of “Shepardswood” (a mystical forest) she is creating on her property. From Norse gods to tall spirits, it’s a tour you won’t want to miss!
Alsion Shepard enjoys pen & ink, painting, sculpture, murals, weaving and ceramic arts. She graduated from Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio with a BFA. She has worked in Florida as a teacher, mural artist, surveyor, survey and engineering drafter, graphics designer, and illustrator. She is still mural painting and gradually turning her house, inside & out, into a creature-filled forest landscape. Alison also serves as DFAC’s Clay Studio Manager.
So stop by for some Coffee & Conversation (both of which are FREE)!
