Hanging out, drinking delicious coffee, talking about art… ahhhh, that’s the life! Well, that IS the life at least for an hour or so each month at the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s Coffee and Conversation series. Enjoy coffee (Presented by the Sterling Society of DFAC) and insights as each month’s invited guest holds forth on their own area of expertise. Admission to these relaxed talks is $5 and is FREE to current DFAC members.
Thursday, May 9th, 2019 at 12 noon, the series hosts artist Theo Tamborlane. Theo will present a program entitled, “Abstract Art and You – Perfect Together.” She will provide a brief history of the development of Abstract Art in Europe and the USA during and after World War II and information on the difference between the POP Art movement and Abstract Art, both of which now flourish simultaneously. Theo will also guide attendees through the pricing and purchasing process for abstract art in various mediums.
Theodosia A. G. Tamborlane of Dunedin, Florida, is an abstract artist and illustrator. Her paintings use dynamic colors and combine gestural movements with geometric lines and forms in a deliberative yet free spirited process in series paintings with particular themes.
Theo studied at the Art Student League and the School of Visual Arts, both in New York City, and has exhibited her paintings in over 150 exhibitions in NY, NJ, PA and FL since 2008. She is on the board of the Florida Professional Association of Visual Artists.
So stop by for some Coffee & Conversation. Or call ahead to the Palm Cafe’ (298.DFAC ext 237) and have lunch waiting for you!
