Hanging out, drinking delicious coffee, talking about art… ahhhh, that’s the life! Well, that IS the life at least for an hour or so each month at the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s Coffee and Conversation series. Enjoy coffee (Presented by the Sterling Society of DFAC) and insights as each month’s invited guest holds forth on their own area of expertise. Admission to these relaxed talks is $5 and is FREE to current DFAC members.
Thursday, January 10th, 2019 at 12 noon, the series hosts artist Joe Mattus. Joe will talk about how he found his way back to painting after a 20+ year hiatus. He will discuss his experience at Grand Central Atelier and his desire to learn a classical painting process. And what about that process? He’ll share it from sketch to finished painting.
Joseph Mattus graduated with a BFA from University of the Arts in 1987. In 2010 after spending far too long away from Painting Joseph sold his successful business of 21 years and moved to New York City to learn Classical Painting. For the next five years he studied under Jacob Collins at the Grand Central Atelier where he graduated from their core program in 2016.
Joseph and his wife Tiani now live in Clermont Fl where he exhibits his work, teaches, and paints commissions
So stop by for some Coffee & Conversation. Or call ahead to the Palm Cafe’ (298.DFAC ext 237) and have lunch waiting for you!
