Dunedin, FL – The Dunedin Fine Art Center (DFAC) is thrilled to announce an exclusive Artist Talk featuring the esteemed artist Joan Duff Bohrer, accompanied by Guest Curator Marjorie Greene Graff. This enriching event will take place on Tuesday, July 9th at 12:00 p.m. in the Douglas-Whitley Gallery at DFAC.
Join us for an engaging conversation as Joan Duff Bohrer, a dedicated arts educator and former DFAC faculty member, delves into her passion for art-making that continues into her ninth decade. Joan will share insights into her artistic journey, exploring various media and her unwavering dedication to her craft.
Event Highlights:
– In-depth Discussion: Joan Duff Bohrer and Marjorie Greene Graff will discuss Joan’s artistic practice, life path, and sources of inspiration.
– Artist’s Journey: Learn about Joan’s background, including her education at Bucknell University, Rutgers University, and independent study at Skidmore College.
– Exhibition Insights: This talk coincides with Joan’s first solo exhibition at DFAC, celebrating her diverse talents as an abstract painter, ceramicist, fiber artist, and journal-maker.
About Joan Duff Bohrer:
Raised in New Jersey, Joan earned her undergraduate degree at Bucknell University and her master’s degree from Rutgers University. She also pursued independent study at Skidmore College. Over her prolific career, she has taught art to all ages, including adult classes and workshops at DFAC. Her work is featured in numerous private collections and represented by the Alison West Brown Gallery. Until recently, Joan split her time between Salem, NY, and Dunedin, FL.
