Learn how to photograph your work using your cell phone\, including tips for lighting\, composition\, and camera settings\, as well as how to prepare image files for a professional portfolio. \n\n\n\nWe’ll also cover gallery expectations\, the different types of exhibitions available\, where to find calls for artists\, and how to tailor your submissions to the opportunities that best fit your work. DESCRIPTION:Friday Makerspace Lecture \n\n\n\nAll levels welcome! \n\n\n\n\n\nHave you ever wanted to know the ins and outs of kiln firing and what is possible with your ceramics? This lecture will cover the basics from what is a clay body and what happens with the different stages of clay to why we fire the work and how that process happens in a kiln. Learn the differences between Oxidation and Reduction\, mid low and high firings\, what are atmospheric firings\, the actual make up of kilns and more. \n\n\n\nThis Makerspace lecture will be presented by Deon Blackwell\, who has taught ceramics for more than 20 years and has built several kilns throughout the Tampa Bay area.
