Join us in conversation with multi-media artist S. Toxosi, DFAC’s inaugural Guest Curator, who has delivered a powerful exhibition featuring 17 artists from around the world working in a range of media who share a common desire for healing and communal growth. The exhibit is SOONOQO (so-no-ko) a term in the Somali language that means ‘to become’ and also, ‘to return’. This provocative installation reflects the simultaneous acts of becoming and returning to ourselves through interdependence with nature and ancestral support.
