Lorraine Potocki
Growing up in Trenton, NJ, there was never a doubt that all I ever wanted to be was an artist. With an Associates in Advertising Design and a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and Education, I found my first jobs in local ad agencies then into corporate marketing communications positions resulting in several relocations. My last corporate relocation brought me to Florida and my lifelong dream came true.

When I’m not in my studio, I’m an instructor at the Dunedin Fine Art Center.

Elizabeth Ventura Bio

Suburban born and raised Elizabeth Ventura always longed for the wider world. Much of her work is inspired by her travels around the world and life experiences living in Europe, Bermuda and New York City.

Focusing on the abstract form in both studio work and en plein air, Ventura explores landscapes from the walls of the NYC subway to beauty of Tampa Bay and everyday objects from fire extinguishers, to flowers. “Sometimes I’m overwhelmed by everything I’m experiencing all at once — shape color, form –and my goal is to express this ‘all at once feeling’ on canvas.” She says her art is an effort to record an emotional footprint of the moment.

While much of her training could be described as self-directed, her fist teacher was her artist father. In addition, Ventura benefited from classical study at The Art Students League, The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences as well as many individual classes and workshops. Her teachers have included, Karen Titus Smith, Richard Mckinley, Brian Bosmeisler, Danneille Mick and Jenny Nelson.

She lives with her husband in Clearwater, Florida with a deep love and connection with New York City.
