If you like to stand while working, bring bed lifters for your table or something to bring your easel up to the level you need.

PHOTOGRAPHS OF YOUR FAVORITE ANIMALS/PEOPLE. I prefer real photographs to pictures on your iphone or ipad. I WILL BRING SOME ALSO AND SHARE WITH YOU. TRY TO GET GOOD LIGHTING ON YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS.

BRING A SKETCH PAD, 14 X 17….OR SIMILAR. No newspaper. Your favorite pencils, with sharpener and eraser.
140# watercolor paper. I use Arches cold pressed. Single sheets are better than pads.

Bring several watercolor brushes…whatever your favorites are (I will bring extras). I like to mostly work with a flat angled 1 inch brush and a couple of rounds, #10, #6 and a script liner. Bring what you have.

Watercolor paint, in tubes, not cakes: Aureolin, yellow ochre, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, permanent rose or quinacridone rose, quinacridone burnt orange and quinacridone gold. Any other colors you like. I like American Journey paint (which is Da Vinci paint, but less expensive). If you have white casein (made by Richeson), bring it, but otherwise I will supply you with some.

A container for water. Viva paper towels.

Table easel, hard board on which to place your paper. Painters tape or bulldog clips to hold your paper in place.

Paint palette with large mixing area.
