BRUSHES

Utrect Manglon set of 4 long handled brushes, or other soft bristle brushes suitable for blending. As the course progresses, you are free to purchase specific brushes for your needs.

Sponge brushes for staining canvases.

OTHER MATERIALS

Palette (disposable pad or glass) – 16x20 inch.

Masterson Sta-Wet palette seal (blue lid) – this is the handiest way to store and transport your palette. Highly recommended if you intend to continue painting. Your 16x20” palette fits in it.

Palette knives – RGM metal palette knives, #5 and #50. No plastic palette knives.

Solvents – 500 ml/16 oz of Weber Turpenoid or Gamblin Gamsol for cleaning brushes

Solvent container – A Silcoil tank is preferred, otherwise a clean glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Containers for mixing stains – two medium size jars for mixing acrylic stains with wide mouths if possible (eat two containers of Talenti gelato)

Rags – old washcloths, tea towels or t-shirts cut into large squares

Tape - Blue painter’s tape

Drawing tools - Pencil, eraser, ruler and a pen

Tarp - If you paint flat on the table or are messy, please bring a plastic picnic tablecloth or other plastic tarp.

SARAL TRANSFER PAPER (blue) – if you transfer your images, you must purchase this. (If you use a grid or draw freehand, it is not necessary)

A sketchbook for recording your colors is handy. You can also take notes in it.

A CLEAN EMPTY PIZZA BOX OR OTHER FLAT CARDBOARD BOX FOR TRANSPORTING WET CANVASES
