They’ll explore how to manipulate clay to achieve organic forms\, textures\, and detailed surfaces\, while gaining a deeper understanding of balance\, proportion\, and the interplay of form and function. Additionally\, students will be introduced to surface decoration techniques such as carving\, glazing\, and underglazing. This class covers choosing appropriate stones\, appropriate subjects\, effective use of basic hand tools\, and approaching form without getting lost.  Measuring techniques\, geometric and arithmetic enlargement/reduction.
