Part science and part alchemy\, in-glaze lusters are glazes containing metals (bismuth\, silver) that develop fascinating iridescence when reduction fired. \n\n\n\nIn this two day workshop\, Lisa will discuss the chemistry of luster glazes\, how she approaches glaze testing and development\, her results from extensive testing and experimentation and multiple methods for post fire reduction including building a small raku style kiln.
