DESCRIPTION:Mondays\, 6 Week ClassAll levels welcome! \n\n\n\n\n\nA relaxed\, beginner-friendly course. An inviting introduction to printmaking for anyone curious about exploring new materials and creative processes. No prior printmaking experience is required. We’ll work at a comfortable pace with guided demonstrations and plenty of time for experimentation in a supportive studio environment.Participants will explore a variety of traditional and nontraditional printmaking techniques\, which may include simple relief linocuts\, collagraphs\, plaster prints\, monoprints\, oil- and water-based monotypes\, and Caran d’Ache monoprints. Artists are encouraged to play\, mix techniques\, and personalize their work by incorporating collage\, watercolor\, and chine-collé with a range of papers. SUMMARY:PR505 Advanced and Professional Intaglio Etching with Holly Bird
DESCRIPTION:Fridays\, 6 Week ClassAdvanced\, Professional Only \n\n\n\n\n\nExploration of traditional\, safe methods of etching with anon-acid solution (ferric chloride) using copper plates. This Friday session is for students with considerable etching experience who may expand on more advanced techniques or try mezzotints (Please contact instructor in advance to order plates.) The studio is equipped with both a large 36” and smaller 19” press along with a rosin box and spray paint area for aquatints.
