SUMMARY:SC101 Beginning Stone Carving with Eric Oberg
DESCRIPTION:All levels welcome!  \n\n\n\n\n\nThis class is for students with little to no stone carving experience. This class covers choosing appropriate stones\, appropriate subjects\, effective use of basic hand tools\, and approaching form without getting lost.  Measuring techniques\, geometric and arithmetic enlargement/reduction. Introduction to advanced tools and techniques Students will learn to carve stone sculptures using hand tools (chisel and hammer). Students will be encouraged to also try selected power tools with instruction. Please register two weeks in advance so that stone can be purchased.
