Reduction allows for wonderful carved textures\, painterly effects and experimentation in relief printmaking. This is not a beginner’s class: students must have some previous basic printmaking experience and drawing ability.    Using a single block of unmounted linoleum and working with oil-based inks\, we’ll explore advanced reduction for those who want to take their relief printmaking experience further. Students will make slab tiles and bowls out of slump molds to practice the techniques. \n\n\n\nThey will learn to adapt designs taken from fabrics\, or paintings or their favorite photos.
