Join Chef Debbie McGiffin for these one day, hands-on cooking workshops for teens. We will learn the basics of cutlery, how to read and understand a recipe and the practical art of 'Mise en Place' as well as a variety of cooking techniques. At the end of the workshop students will enjoy their creation together. Each one-day workshop will have a different theme and will be all from scratch. Ages 10 - 15. Maximum 6 students. See below for specific menus for the below listed themes: 3/5 - That's Amore' Italian Cuisine: Minestrone Soup, Garlic Knots, Fettuccine with Alfredo Herb Sauce, Tiramisu Cupcakes. 3/26 - Fiesta Fun! Menu: Mexican Chopped Salad with Cilantro Lime Dressing, Homemade Chili con Queso, Chipotle Chicken and Bean Taquitos with Fresh Salsa, and Warm Cinnamon Apple Bites. 4/9 - Bon Appetit - French - Monte Cristo Sandwich Bites, Chicken & Vegetable en Papillote, Potatoes Au Gratin & Creme Brulee. 4/23 - Down South- Southern- Pimento Cheese Tartlets, BLT Salad, Hot Honey Oven Fried Chicken Tenders & Peach Cobbler. 5/7 - Thai - Fresh Spring Rolls with Hoisin Dipping Sauce, Thai inspired Turkey Sliders with Asian Slaw & Mango Mousse. 5/21 - Cajun - Cajun Shrimp Salad, Jambalaya Stuffed Tomatoes, Andouille and Cheese Cornbread & Bread Pudding with Salted Caramel Sauce. Students must register in groups of 2,3 or 4. (Tuition is per student). Groups/pairs will work in close proximity at cooking stations. We can not accommodate individual students at this time.
