Join us as we explore the wonderful world of metalsmithing. In this class, students will be introduced to the basics of working with sterling silver. We will discuss jewelry design and cover metalsmithing techniques; correct use of tools, simple forming, texturing, soldering, finishing and shop safety.

Level 1 Students will fabricate a pendant in sterling silver that will combine the techniques covered in class. A materials fee of $65 is to be paid to the instructor.

Level 2 In Level 2 you can choose to create an original piece with individual instruction or participate in the class project. The fabricated link bracelet, our class project, will be a combination of 5 unique links, each highlighting a different technique; simple bezel setting, roller and hammer textures, keum boo, riveting and patination finished with a toggle. A materials fee of $85 is to be paid to the instructor.
