A workshop for students who have a working knowledge of raw applique, free motion sewing, thread painting and can work independently. Students will be using a sewing machine. You will learn how to create a fabric collage using fabrics, threads and custom made embellishments. Students will learn step-by-step techniques, such as: • Creating templates using photos • Raw appliqué - no glue, only pins! • Free-form sewing and thread painting • Creating texture using water-soluble stabilizer • Students should bring their sewing machines to class in good working order with ability to do free-motion sewing.
