Explore drawing the “darker side” of imagery with the help of dark materials and dark music. Subject matter includes skulls, gargoyles, dragons, etc. Students will need: 18” x 24” newsprint drawing pad, soft vine or willow thin charcoal, compressed charcoal, kneaded eraser and a can of cheap hairspray as a fixative. The objective of this class is to capture 3D objects realistically as well as expressively.
