Skill Levels: All Levels
The effect of a Lazy Squaw pattern is a cross between a Herringbone and a Chevron and a Foxtail pattern. The Lazy Squaw pattern lends itself to a number of adaptations. Students will learn this simple and mesmerizing technique for chain making in this fun and challenging workshop. You will find yourself “in the zone” and time will fly by. The double version of the technique will be demonstrated and time will be available for those comfortable with the torch to explore this.
We will learn how to make consistent oval jump rings with half-round wire. We will make soldered, yet movable, links and the bracelet catch will be integrated and invisible.
A list of tools that we will be using is available. Bring what you already have and avoid waiting to share a tool.
A materials fee of $25.00 is paid directly to the instructor the first day of the workshop. This fee includes required sterling silver wires and an illustrated written instruction folder.
Ages 17 and up.
