Printmaking is a versatile, easy way to create a work of art. This class will introduce students to monoprinting, which is one of the most basic forms of printing and is an ideal way to extend painting and drawing practices. Students will learn to create distinctive designs and images with ink on plexiglass, then transfer the ink to paper. Explore the delightfully unique marks that only printmaking can provide and practice using different papers and printing inks. No previous experience in printing is required, but ability to draw and/or some painting experience is a plus. The course will start with black and white and progress to color. Ages 17 and up.
