DESCRIPTION:Mondays\, 6 Week ClassAll levels welcome! \n\n\n\n\n\nA relaxed\, beginner-friendly course. An inviting introduction to printmaking for anyone curious about exploring new materials and creative processes. No prior printmaking experience is required. We’ll work at a comfortable pace with guided demonstrations and plenty of time for experimentation in a supportive studio environment.Participants will explore a variety of traditional and nontraditional printmaking techniques\, which may include simple relief linocuts\, collagraphs\, plaster prints\, monoprints\, oil- and water-based monotypes\, and Caran d’Ache monoprints. Artists are encouraged to play\, mix techniques\, and personalize their work by incorporating collage\, watercolor\, and chine-collé with a range of papers. Learning a brief history\, terminology\, tools\, safe carving techniques\, and how versatile printmaking can be. You will be able to carve your own single color linoleum plates from design to print\, experiment with textures\, layering\, and negative/ positive space.
