Six individual sessions creating and using art therapeutically in a nonclinical setting. Each session is tailored to the participant interest and style. Art encourages creativity, reduces stress, improves self-esteem, and can assist with increasing emotional awareness and healing. The creative process using art allows an opportunity to non-verbally express emotions when appropriate, as well assist with spatial reasoning, eye-hand coordination, concentration, attention to detail and creativity. Great for children with a variety of challenges socially, emotionally, physically, including and not limited to ADD/ADHA, ODD, Spectrum and learning challenges. Ages 8 - 16 Mason is a studio artist, drawing and painting instructor, and an artist in healthcare professional, with a BFA from the School of Visual Art and an MA in Arts in Medicine from University of Florida.

Want to become a better home chef or chase even bigger culinary dreams? In this 6-week session you will learn new recipes, master different meals and feel comfortable and independent in the kitchen. We will be going over knife skills, mise en place (origination) while cooking fun interesting food from around the world and developing life skills. Ages 11 - 15. Register with your friends and siblings as students are grouped in sets of 2,3 or 4 for cooking stations.

Come hang out in this "club-like" class and draw in your favorite journal, taking one of the drawings, cut it out or enlarge it and mount it on a larger painted background, or create stories in your journal/sketchbook. The teacher will have props to help you with this project. Students need to bring journal of choice and are welcome to bring favorite props as well. Ages 10 - 16

Do you like creating and drawing your own characters? Does learning to draw characters from your favorite shows and games excite you? Then this is the class for you! We will be learning the fundamentals of character design and understanding the basics of drawing people. Have fun drawing your characters in manga, anime, and traditional styles, whichever you choose. In this class we will explore what makes a successful character, doing our best to create a new one from scratch or re-constructing an existing one. Using the fundamentals of drawing, it will help us develop our characters further. So come explore different styles of design as we create our very own memorable characters! Paper/pencils/colored pencils supplied. Students are welcome to bring their own sketch books, ink pens or Copic markers. Ages 11 - 15

Students will then construct a surreal 3D wire/clay model. Finally, students will use headsets, laptops and controllers to bring their subject to life in the Virtual Realty world. This class will focus on creating your own personal sketchbook/journal to use as a creative place to explore your creative process and to instill a practice of creative self-care. We will use a variety of mediums to work in our sketchbooks from drawing, painting, collage, black out poetry, etc. to give different opportunities for expression. We will discuss and explore any technique or medium to work on together or individually. This will also serve as an open studio and safe place so students may practice what they want to draw and receive help as needed. Materials suggested: at least 8” x 10” sketchbook or used book or larger size, favorite magazines/imagery to cut up, preferred drawing tools like markers, pens, pencils etc., any other found materials that could be put into a sketchbook. Note: Some materials like glue, tape, paint, and other drawing materials will be supplied. For new and continuing students, ages 11 & up

We will learn the basics of cutlery, how to read and understand a recipe and the practical art of 'Mise en Place' as well as a variety of cooking techniques. Come out and learn the basics while drawing cool stuff like armor, dragons, starwars props, etc. Or choose to focus on the figure by using a combination of props, fellow classmates and models. This class also works as an open studio, which means you may bring your own subject matter and ‘practice’ what you want to draw and receive help as well. Skills will be developed at each individual’s level.
