Cheryl is descended from the Cheyenne River Sioux of South Dakota on her mother’s side of the family. Her Great –Grandmother Nancy-Who-Sees the Horses, was a survivor of the Battle of Wounded Knee. Cheryl shares her historic ancestry and the mysteries of her culture through her vibrant use of color on Canvas. She is a member of the Pastel Society of Tampa Bay, the Dunedin Fine Art Center and the long-time president of the Fine Art Society.
