Mural Madness
for kids ages 8 to 12

Program Facts

You’ve had fun learning and creating art in DFAC’s Sizzlin Summer Visual Arts Camp…now try it on a huge scale! Under the direction of DFAC’s wonderful faculty, young artists will learn the steps in creating magnificent, monumental sized drawings and paintings that will be hung in DFAC’s Meta Brown Gallery. Using the theme of the week, students will work up sketches, then scaled drawings, then transferring/enlarging their artwork onto huge sections of paper. Adding lights, sound and music, a new weekly children’s mural exhibition will be on display through the weekend. Slide shows of the works in progress will be available on DVD! Plus: Local professional artists will be stopping in during class to talk about their artistic process.
