Adult Education
Under the auspices of Adult Education, DFAC offers over 1000 class sessions and workshops each year. The sessions are divided into seven 6 week segments, Winter I, Winter II, Spring, Summer I, Summer II, Fall I and Fall II. Workshops last anywhere from one day to a full week. The over 50 professional artists who make up the DFAC faculty are the most respected in the Tampa Bay area. (Catherine Bergmann)
Affiliate Groups and Membership
We are thrilled that so many groups work within the walls of DFAC. There are groups based on media (photo, quilt, pastel, etc), travel, and even age. (Meg Huntley)
Communications
Advertising, marketing, public relations and ongoing brand development all happen here. And no, you can't reproduce our logo in PMS 2375. (Ken Hannon)
Exhibitions
At DFAC, we view presenting exciting, challenging exhibitions in an accessable way. Whether the exhibitions are international, national or regional in scope, you will most likely find a component featuring the incredible work of our students and faculty. (Catherine Bergmann)
Finance
To quote Pink Floyd in 7/4 time: "Money, money, money money. Money!" (Barbara Aspinall)
Fundraising
The key to our programs and continued growth. (George Ann Bissett)
Special Events
Special events at DFAC are truly SPECIAL. From February's Trashy Treasures Art Garage Sale through April's traditional Garden Party onto August's HOT, HOT, HOT Wearable Art Fashion Show. With all of the films, lectures, and other offering strung in between, it's pretty special at DFAC just about any time. (Meg Huntley)
Youth Education
Last on this list, but FIRST in our hearts. DFAC is home to the David L. Mason Children's Art Museum, one of only three such facilities in the state and the ONLY one on Florida's west coast. The DLM offers a hands-on component for children to get aquainted with art. In conjunction with an age-appropriate gallery tour this makes for an excellent school tour opportunity.
DFAC offers year-round classes for children, culminating with a Summer Camp program that is always in high demand. (Todd Still)
